Gyeongju City Guide — Penny Designs

A guide to Korea’s Ancient Capital: Gyeongju (Publication), 2020.

A city guide publication that takes a tour of South Korea’s ancient capital, Gyeongju. This design practice allowed me to explore the importance of typography and understand spread layouts to communicate information in a readable yet visually pleasing way. The book presents a collection of the wonderful tourist attractions, shopping hotspots and the best places to experience the traditional cuisine. The layout is rather contemporary and includes muted brown tones that reflect the traditional landmarks and streets of the city.
